Antonia "Toni" Chavez passed away peacefully, with her family by her side on May 7, 2016 in Visalia, CA. She was born in Lordsburg, New Mexico on September 2, 1924. Toni was proceeded in death by her parents Juan and Inez Acosta, her two daughters, Gloria St. Germain and Sally Flores. She also has two sons, David Chavez, wife Bernice and Mike Chavez, wife Margie, both who reside locally. Noni, whom she was lovingly known by her 15 grandchildren, 41 great and 12 great-great grandchildren will be truly missed, not only because of her loving heart, but because of her homemade tortillas, fresh salsas, homemade jellys and the ability to make a great meal out of any kind of meat or vegetable at hand! Our family will not be the same without her, but also know that our Mom, Noni, went to heaven and awaits all of us with open and loving arms.
Services will be at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Dinuba on Friday, May 13, 2016 and funeral at Smith Mountain Cemetery will follow.
