Carol Herrera Obituary

Carol Herrera Carol Herrera passed away May 2, 2012 at the age of 84. She was born March 5, 1928 to her parents, Edinero and Juanita Tafoya in El Chato, New Mexico. Carol was a resident of Tulare County for 56 years and she worked as a housekeeper for 15 years. She was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor, who passed away January 29, 2012 and also three sons, one daughter and one brother. Survivors include, four sons, Abel Herrera of Folsom, Billy Herrera of Visalia, Mark Herrera of Tulare and Larry Herrera of Fresno; three daughters, Marcella Trejo of Traver, Patsy Montoya of Las Vegas, NV and Dyan Herrera of Tulare; two sisters, Annie Peralta of Mountainair, NM and Lucy Maldonado of Wichita, KS; one brother, Alex Tafoya of Milwaukee, WI; 18 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 12-4 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 5 p.m., also on Tuesday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church with burial at North Tulare Cemetery.
