Christopher Thomas Marques was born in Hanford, California on February 24, 1987. Christopher went to be with our Heavenly Father on March 19, 2016. He grew up in Hanford California graduating from Hanford High in 2005.
Christopher married the love of his life Candice Gonzales on May 5th, 2012. Together they settled into Tulare, Ca and welcomed their miracle baby on March 13, 2013. Christopher's biggest pride in life was his gorgeous daughter Caynbrya Marques. Christopher had a larger than life personality and was notorious for all his pranks. Christopher loved to barbecue, read stories to baby Caynbrya and had an obsession for Mixed Martial Arts.He wasn't afraid to rock his Mr. T and give you his famous "bang pow" kick if he saw fit. Christopher was a gentle giant and took pride in his Portuguese heritage. Chris will always be remembered for his generous soul, golden heart, contagious laugh and bubba bear-like hugs.He had a strong love for "his girls" Candice and Caynbrya and his family and many many friends.
Christopher also known as Chris, Bubba Bear, Fiffer, Bang Pow,"Big Neeg" is survived by his wife Candice Marques, daughter Caynbrya Marques, mother Janene and John Labandeira, sister Leann "Lee-Lee" Labandeira, father Mario and Angie Marques, Avó Ilda Marques, Papa and Nana Gene and Linda Yocum. Godfather Steve Roberto and Godmother Debbie Eastom, uncle Tommy Yocum, and aunt Mary Roberto and Fernando Roberto.
Chris is preceded in death by his Avo Manuel Marques and aunt Susan Yocum. He blessed the lives of many uncles, aunts, cousins, mother in law, brother and sister in laws, nephews, nieces and several friends from Kings,Tulare and Fresno Counties. Chris will never be forgotten and his beautiful spirit will live on always and forever.
There will be a visitation on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. with rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. at Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Home. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Brigid Catholic Church. Burial to conclude at Hanford cemetery.
