James Schaefers Obituary

James (Jim) Robert Schaefers (Birth Name) Robert James Gordon July 26, 1932 –June 30 2012 Jim was born on July 26, 1932 in Detroit, MI. to Clayton Gordon and Agnes Neeson. On July 19, 1955 his name was changed to James Robert Schaefers; he was raised with love by Joseph and Lucille Schaefers. The Lord decided to take him home on June 30, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. On May 20, 1973 he became of friend of Bill W. AA was an important part of his life until the very end. A special thanks to the 3 Amigos (Rick, Sandy, Patrick) He is survived by his 6 children, Kaleen Cullen. Steven Schaefers, Cheryl Sund (Kenneth), Robert Schaefers, Cynthia Schaefers and David Schaefers, (Kim), (13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren) He is also survived by his wife, Norma of 18 years and 4 step children, Francis Pytlowany (Tammy), Kevin Pytlowany (Stella), Marie Pytlowany and Shaunn Pytlowany, (13 grandchildren) A very special thank you to Dr. Bhaskar, Nancy, his Palliative Care Nurse, the nurses on 3 South at Kaweah Delta, the staff at theTransitional Care Center, and his stepdaughter Marie. A 24 hour Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino. The Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on July 14, 2012 at the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino, 17225 Jersey Ave, Lemoore, CA. where he worked for many years.
