Jimmie Kyle Kirby, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the age of 83. He was born in Dadeville, MO, to Hobart and Nellie Kirby on June 16, 1933. Jimmie graduated from Visalia High School in 1953 and joined the United States Army. He served his country as a Master Sergeant in Korea. He retired from a 35 year career with AT&T and was involved with their retirement group, AT&T Pioneers, volunteering with the Special Olympics and the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro AM. His family was very important to him. He loved entertaining all of his family by the pool. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of his eye. He and his wife Joan traveled often, taking photographs of landscapes, sunsets, and anything of God's beauty. Jim's multitude of interests included golfing, camping, fishing, flying airplanes and singing in the church choir.

Jimmie is survived by his sister Mary Lou Brown, children and step-children, Kathy and Adrian Juarez, Michael and Lillian Kirby, Ken and Denise Nunes, Steve Kayson, Rick Nunes, Bob and Marcy Nunes, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Bobbie and Larry and his beloved wife Joan.

A Memorial service will be held at Gateway Church, 1100 S. Sowell St, on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11 AM. Remembrances in his name may be sent to your local Cancer Foundation. A memorial tribute may be offered by logging onto www.salseranddillard.com
