John Janelli Obituary

John Joseph Janelli, 83, died April 21, 2010 at Hospice of San Joaquin in Stockton, California. John was born on September 10, 1926 in Visalia, California, the son of the late John and Rose Janelli. Following graduation from Visalia Union High School in 1944, he enlisted in U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific for two years. Following the war, John returned to Visalia where he took over the operation of his family business, Rex Bottling Co., which he managed until 1979. After retiring he moved to Hume Lake, California, where he lived for 10 years working as Director of Maintenance for Hume lake Christian Camps. Health concerns finally forced John to leave the mountains and he moved to Redding, California where he lived before coming to Stockton in 2007. Sons Timothy Janelli and Bruce Nichols preceded John in death. John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Norma Jean Janelli and his son Robert Janelli. Also surviving are his three sisters, Marie Grube, Dorothy Gothard, And Rose Marie Beierlein. Mr. Janelli will be interred at the Eagles Nest, Visalia Cemetery on May, 6, 2010 at 11 am. The Reverend Bob Phillips will be there to speak. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity or Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton Ca. 95204.
