Kurt Lang Obituary

Kurt R. Lang

Visalia - Kurt R. Lang was the firstborn son to Robert and Bonnie Lang on August 7, 1948 in Oakland, Ca. and he went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 28, 2018, at the age of 70. Kurt attended Washington High School and received his AA degree from Chabot College. Kurt loved planes, trains and automobiles. Taking after his father he had a passion for flying and received his pilot's license as a teenager. As a young adult, he joined the Air National Guard and worked as a flight instructor at the Hayward airport. Kurt was a born salesman and excelled at his career in sales. A reserved man, he was trustworthy, honest and was always a man of his word. He was kind and generous and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Kurt loved photography, traveling with his family, and building model railroads. Kurt's greatest love though, was his family. Kurt and his wife moved to Visalia to be near their grandchildren in 2002. He will be missed greatly by his soulmate and adoring wife of 47 wonderful years, Georgia Lang, their 2 children Jason Lang and Christine Lang Raymer and her children, Kelsey, Abigail and Jackson. Kurt is also survived by his mother, Bonnie Lang, his brothers Rob Lang (wife Robin Lang), Byron Lang (wife Jacqueline Lang), sister in law Kim Votto, and his nieces and nephews.

We will celebrate his life at the Gateway Church in Visalia, Ca. on Nov 17th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
