Michael Haney, known to many as "Mike" was full of love and devotion for his loved ones and many others he came to know throughout his life.
Mike enjoyed taking on many projects, earning himself the title "jack of all trades". He loved saving lives as a EMT and firefighter. He took pride in hard work and dedication helping others from driving a tow truck, to becoming a pump installer/mechanic.
He was a loving, generous, caring, and out-going man and proved time and time again by helping those in need regardless of how well he knew them.
One of Mike's lifelong passions was baseball. Not only did he love playing, but loved coaching his children as well as many others. He brought the all-star out of even his most inexperienced players by the end of their first season. His players would forever know him as their coach and mentor.
Above all else, Mike lived for his family. He loved being a husband and most of all a father and grandfather. When he wasn't hard at work he enjoyed spending his free time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sonya Haney, 4 children, Alyssa (Gabriel) Marin of Everett, Michael Haney (Adrianna Perez) of Tulare, Jason Haney of Tulare, Jordan Haney of Tulare, brother, Joseph Haney of Pixley, 3 grandchildren, his parents Dora and Danny Haney, and numerous loved ones. A viewing will be held on Friday, July 31st, 2015 from 12:00pm- 8:00pm at Peers-Lorentzen Funeral Chapel, located at 132 W. Kern Ave. Tulare, Ca 93274. The service will be held on Saturday, August 1st, 2015 at 10:30 am at Peers-Lorentzen Funeral Chapel . Please join us for a Celebration of Life immediately following the service at the Pixley Memorial Building located at 718 N. Park St. Pixley Ca 93256. Funeral Arrangements by Peers Lorentzen Funeral Service, Tulare.

I worked with Mike for a couple of years when I first moved back to CA. Even tho our job wasn't very exciting, we made the best of it. He was a great friend and he will be missed. R.I. P. Mike.

I haven't seen Michael in years. I remember him being a nice person. May God be with his family and help them find peace in this time of heart ache. May he rest in peace with our heavenly father by his side. I'm sure he will be looking down on his family watching over them till he gets to be in their presence again in heaven.

I'm still having a hard time accepting that this is real. You left us all to soon, but God has a greater plan! You will be greatly missed cousin Mike. I knew Mike from working in the Pixely and Earlimart area. Mike was always easygoing and dependable. In recent years we lost track of one another and I was shocked to learn of his passing. He was one of those people who was humble and gracious. He will be truly missed. My condolences to his family.

My husband and I want to send our sincere condolences to Mike's family. It is very obvious that Mike had a big heart for people and that he was willing to spend time with them to make them feel special. A quality that isn't very common today. I always loved the verse that talks about how a good name is better than good oil and that going to the house of mourning is better than going to the house of birth. The reason being that when a person is born, you are unsure what their future will be, what their personality will be like. When a person has fallen asleep in death though, they have a past to prove what kind of person they were, and it seems evident that Mike tried his best to make a good name.
We do hope that you are able to find comfort in family at this time and that you are able to sit down and remember all the good times that you had with Mike.
