Ramon (Ray) Serna Silva, 87, passed away on April 6, 2017, after eight years of battling Alzheimer's disease. Ray was born September 15, 1929 to his parents Ricardo and Amalia Serna Silva in Rodey, New Mexico.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Juanita (Jenny) Silva whom he was happily married to for 68 years and their son Andrew Silva. Ray is survived by his eldest son Raymond (Robinette) Silva, daughters Gloria (Dennis) Valtierra and Laura (Ken) Bailey, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren as well as his siblings Ricardo (Mary) Silva, Marcie Silva and Irene Martinez along with many nieces and nephews whom he took in as his own. We will miss him dearly.
There will be a Memorial Rosary and Service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Peers Lorentzen Funeral Chapel, 132 W. Kern Ave., Tulare. Followed by interment at Tulare District Cemetery, 900 E. Kern Ave., Tulare.
