Robert Cheatum Obituary

Robert Newman Cheatum Car Salesman Born in Penalosa, Kansas May 16, 1920, passed away May 26, 2012 at the age of 92 in Visalia, CA. He was a resident of Ivanhoe. He entered the Navy in 1944 till 1946, a W.W.II veteran and very proud of it. He married Dorothy Simpson in 1941 from Woodlake and had three children. Son Terry Cheatum and wife Barbra of Salem Oregon, daughter Sandra Fox of Visalia, daughter Sharon Cheek and husband Bobby of Ivanhoe, and step-daughter Sheri Ann Spargo and husband Ted of Denver Colorado. In addition, he is survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, one sister Martha Householder of Kansas and one brother Dale Cheatum of Oklahoma. He was in car sales most of his life. His hobbies were wood carving, cartoon artist and saddle repair. He loved being with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by everyone. Thank you Redwood Springs for the wonderful care of the last 1 ½ years of his life while suffering with Alzheimer's. A memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 15421 Avenue 332, Ivanhoe, CA. Private burial. Condolences may be e-mailed to [email protected]

I'm so sorry for your loss, Bob would come in to Midtown News & get is paper & then go down to the coffee shop on the corner. Very very sweet man. Prayers are with you & our family in this time of need.
