Thelma Greeson

Thelma Lorraine Greeson Elementary School Teacher Thelma Lorraine Greeson was born in Lindsay, California to Bill and Myrtle Owen on January 28, 1922 and went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2012 at the age of 90 years, with her family at her side. She went to school in Lindsay, Visalia Junior College, and graduated from Fresno State College with a degree in Education. She taught in Visalia Elementary Schools for 24 years. She was married to Lloyd Greeson for almost 60 years until his passing in 2002. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a past member of the Eastern Star. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her life. She and Lloyd enjoyed watching their son and grandsons play sports. They would be at every sporting event, no matter the weather. They also enjoyed camping with friends and family. The family would like to thank Kaweah Delta Hospice for their care and concern in her final days. Thelma will be truly missed by family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Greeson-2002. She is survived by son, Bill & wife Carol Greeson of Ivanhoe; daughter, Sandy Terstegen of Fresno; sisters, Dorothy Gallman of Gold River, CA and Helen Munter of Porterville, grandchildren, Brett & wife Melissa Greeson of Visalia, Ryan & wife Megan Greeson of Tennessee, Ginger & husband David Chappell of Lodi, Shawn Terstegen of Fresno; great-grandchildren, Kiersten, Kaylee and Ella Greeson.
