Wanda Sheras

Mom lost her battle with cancer on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at her home in Exeter surrounded by her loved ones. Mom was born on June 12, 1945 in Colorado City, Texas to Carl and Vennie Williams. She was the fourth of seven children attending schools in Woodlake & Visalia. After high school she had one daughter, Faylene, the joy and absolute love of her life. Besides get together with family, mom loved trips to Las Vegas, fishing & gardening. She was an avid Elvis fan, collecting an array of Elvis memorabilia in her lifetime. She will be deeply missed by all who knew & loved her. Mom was preceded in death by her husband Robert (Battery Bob) Sheras, three brothers, Carl Lee Williams, Laurence (Buster) Williams, Alvie Dale Williams, and both parents. She is survived by her daughter Faylene Powell and husband Tim of Folsom, CA, four grandchildren, Desaree Cox, Visalia, Michael Cox, Exeter, Nickolas Powell, Chico, Ca & Carly Sue Powell, Folsom. Also a brother Billy Gene Williams of Conway, Arkansas, two sisters Gerry Baker & husband Tom of Porterville & Betty Yvonne Kelley & husband Larry, Visalia. Many nieces & nephews, and her much loved & spoiled dogs Isis & Sophie. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 28th at 2 p.m. Smith Family Chapel, Exeter with visitation Thursday, August 27th, 3 to 7 p.m. Smith Family Chapel, Exeter.
