Every time I look at a bird and wonder what it may be and revel in its uniqueness I think of Bird Bill. Thanks for instilling the love of birding in me.

I never really listen to any of my teachers in my Elementary classes at Frank Kohn School except for one year in 1971 I remember at that time we were taking additional classes for some reason that year I wanted a art class but I was sent to a mathematics class for her short.. I was so afraid of him because I never had a man teacher before and he looked like he was right out of the Marines LOL. Anyways I learned one thing from him and it had to do with adding and subtracting members. How to add more quickly and I briefly remember him telling the class how to do that and that's stuck with me for the rest of my life I was able to use that and apply it to my life which made me heck of a lot better than I would have ever been something as simple as adding and subtracting it made my life a lot easier to get by and I applied that what I learned from him to my life. Still to this day I can add and subtract more and a lot better than I ever have because of him I was also a very good bank and checking account person as well. Never worked in the bank but I was able to adjust any number any figure that I could ever come by and make it through. I wish I could have told him that what do you do for me God bless his family he will be missed

There were only two teachers that had an impact on me while at Kohn School and Mr. Meeker was one of them. Thank you for your kindness and for my first horse ride.

Dear Herb, Molly, Teena, & Polly, and spouses, and grand kids,
May God bless you and your families with comfort in the days ahead. Here are some of the memories that I wanted to share at the memorial, but wasn't able to:
When we learned of your dad's home going and I shared it with our children, almost everyone of them had a comment about him being Grandpa's friend. When my dad was in the hospital in Palo Alto, your parents came up there and visited him. They also took mom and myself out to a bird sanctuary. It was there that I saw my first live pheasant. It was so beautiful. We all also remember the help he gave our family and others by coming down to LA once a month when we started homeschooling. One thing I especially enjoyed was being able to visit with your dad at Bible camp. We shared things about school and he was always interested in how our children were doing. My earliest memory of your family was about 1962 or 63 when you all came to Camp Seely. Another memory from a long time ago was at Tulare camps. Your dad organized jump roping contests for the children.
I'm so glad that he was able to be at the last camp with all of you. Your dad and mom will be missed. I am thankful for the hope that we have because of Christ that we will meet again!

Many enjoyable times were had when teaching fifth grade with Mr. Meeker at Kohn. Not only was Bill an excellent teacher, especially in science, but also an inspiration to students who were lucky enough to be in his class. Bless you for your dedication, not only to teaching, but also to Scicon. Prayers to the family.

Mr. Meeker,
You are the teacher who made my future. You are the teacher I think about all the time. You are the one that I thank for the opportunity to do what I love. I had you in the 6th grade at Wilson School. You picked me to help in the kindergarten class on Friday's...that is when I knew I wanted to make a difference in a child's life. I remember going to your house and riding a horse and drinking fresh milk and having the best cookies. I didn't care for the horse ride or milk, but the cookies were great! I have never, not one day stopped thinking about you or thanking you. Just so you know, I am making a great difference in children's lives and pretty darn great at it! I thank you. My sympathy to your wonderful family for the loss of such a great man.
