Carol A. Perkins

South Royalton, VT - Carol A. Perkins, 78 died Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the Gifford Medical Center in Randolph, VT.

She was born May 11, 1944 in Lebanon, NH. The daughter of Herbert M. and Norma K. (Dunham) Merrihew. She attended school in Canaan, NH.

She married to Milton Coles. Together they had three daughters. They were later divorced. On July 2, 1985 she married Paul H. Perkins of Tunbridge. They lived all their married live in Tunbridge. Paul died on May 29, 2013.

Carol had worked as a seamstress at Hathaway Shirts in Lowell, MA, Carters and C.B. Jackets both in Lebanon, NH. She later did Home Healthcare for older people in the Central Vermont Area and had worked part time for David Harris in Tunbridge. In 2015 Carol, moved to the Brightwood House in South Royalton, VT. She enjoyed living there and made many new friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Kelly Dean of Crystal River, FL and Sarah LaFrancis of Chelsea, VT; two stepdaughters Darlene Backman of White River Jct., VT and Deborah Locke of Concord, NH; a stepson Scott Perkins of Tunbridge, VT; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers Elwin "Gig" Clark of White River Jct., VT, Timmy Merrihew of Lebanon, NH and Dennis Merrihew of Lebanon, NH and two sisters Joyce Ford of Conway, SC and Jane Smarden of Lebanon, NH. She was predeceased by her husband Paul; a grandson Scott Moses; a brother Bruce Merrihew and a sister Kathy Clark.

A memorial graveside service will be held later this spring at the Spring Road Cemetery in Tunbridge, VT.

Memorial contributions may be made to the South Royalton Area, Meals on Wheels.

I was so blessed to have you as a mom. You made sure us three girls had everything we needed without any help from anybody else. I will miss your visits I will miss our daily phone calls I will just miss you so much. I hope you know you are loved deeply and you will be messed deeply.
