Charles C. Moore

Canaan, NH - Charles C. Moore, age 79, passed away on May 26, 2023, in Canaan, NH, surrounded by his family. He was born on October 6, 1943, in Hanover, NH to James and Helliene Austin Moore. He grew up in Amsden, VT, raised by his grandparents. Charles loved his dogs, reading, football, and the outdoors. He had a particular fondness for visiting his grandparents' dairy farm where he grew up. Was married to Jeanine Parsdis on November 24, 1968, they have four children. He joined the IBEW Union in 1968. He worked on many construction sites around the country, becoming a master electrician. Seabrook and Vermont Yankee were two nuclear plants he worked on. Daveen Stopfer married in December of 1988 in Hinsdale, NH. When he was employed to work on the DHMC construction project they moved to Enfield. Later they moved to Canaan. He retired from CRREL in 2019after surviving several bouts of cancer during a 24 year period.

Charles is survived by his wife, Daveen Moore; his children, James Moore (Candy), William Moore (Linda), Jean Henry (Bob), Lori Zachini (Ed), Chris Stopfer, Jesse Stopfer, and Teena Stopfer; grandchildren, Krystle Barton, Emily Sexton, Matt Moore, Justin Paquette, Travis Lashua, Kaycee Lashua, Aiden Bassett, Madeline Zachini, and Abigail Zachini; great-grandchildren, Makenzie Barton and Emmalyn Barton; sisters, Judy Carley of Enfield and Debbie Gardner of Hinsdale; Uncle Francis; and aunts, Glennie Jacobs of Wethersfield, VT and Mary Gramling of Alabama. He was predeceased by a sister Linda (Gary) White and an infant son, an uncle Lawrence Moore who he was especially close with,

Family and friends are invited to Charles's graveside service at the Ascutneyville Cemetery in Ascutney, VT on Tuesday June 20, 2023 at 10 AM.
