Daniel H. Soucy

Meriden, NH - Daniel H. Soucy, 76, passed away Saturday October 12, 2024 at the Springfield Hospital in Springfield, VT following an illness. He was born in Lebanon, NH to the late Jerry & Aline (Rhodes) Soucy. He graduated from Lebanon High School. Dan worked at area garages as an autobody tech. He met and married Elaine L. Illsley. They opened the Soucy Deli Mart in Meriden in 1979, now known as the Meriden Deli. While Dan operated the Meriden Garage Elaine operated the Deli. She predeceased him in 2016. Dan enjoyed tinkering and restoring antique cars.

He leaves behind a sister Gloria Tucker, a brother Allan Soucy, sister in laws Alice Best (David), Becky Flynn (Dan), Dot Hutchins, Joyce Evens, Barbara Houston (Gerald) and a brother in law Wayne Illsley, a special niece Jennifer Illsley and many other loving nieces, nephews and two special friends Bob Hazen and Bob Bovin.

Dan will be privately buried alongside his wife at the Mill Cemetery in Meriden. A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.

Memorial donations can be made to the Cornish Rescue Squad in Cornish, NH.
