Evelyn McGee Herbert passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025, at her home in Knoxville, TN. She was 95 years old.
Born and raised in Franklin, Evelyn was the daughter of Clyde and Mary McGee. Evelyn graduated from Franklin High School in 1948 as class valedictorian. She is survived by her sons, Stan Herbert and Don Lorenzo; her stepsons, Carl and Ralph Herbert; her sister, Dolly Hardison; and all their families.
A graveside service will be held at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home on October 10 at 10am. This will take place in the gardens in the Magnolia Estates section. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember Evelyn’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
