Gary DeMara Obituary
Sharon, VT — The family of Dr. Gary G. DeMara of Sharon, VT is saddened to announce his sudden passing on September 1, 2022 at the age of 69 years.
Dr. Gary G. DeMara was born on October 11, 1952 in National City, San Diego County, CA, to Rudy DeMara and Mary Aguilar Scott. Gary earned his undergraduate degree from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA, and then went on to earn his Doctorate degree from Universidad de Montemorelos in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
As a doctor and entrepreneur for 35+ years, his most notable accomplishments were establishing his own medical practices in obstetrics and gynecology (Mercer County, NJ), and addiction medicine services (Plattsburgh, NY). Despite his career as a physician, he was also owner/chef of "The Bare Mexican" restaurant (Randolph, VT).
Gary married the love of his life, Dr. Ellamarie Russo-DeMara, on May 24, 1992 at Forsgate Country Club (Monroe Township, NJ). The couple had 4 children; Marielle, Matthew, Madisyn, and Macy.
Gary was best known for his love and devotion to his family, his love for the Lord, his generosity, humor, culinary talents, and his compassion and empathy for his patients.
Gary is survived by his wife Dr. Ellamarie Russo-DeMara, of Sharon, VT; daughter Marielle DeMara (Trevor) of Sharon, VT; son Matthew DeMara of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; daughter Madisyn DeMara of Sharon, VT; daughter Macy DeMara of Sharon, VT; granddaughter Giannina Giles of Sharon, VT; brother Rudy DeMara (Suzanne) of Lake Forest, CA; sister Yolanda DeMara Brisley (Willard) of Laguna Woods, CA; brother Eugene Scott (Cyndi) of Las Vegas, NV; brother Michael Scott (Alfreda) of Beaumont, TX; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Gary is preceded in death by his mother Mary Aguilar Scott, father Rudy DeMara, step-father Orville Scott, sister Donna Johnston, and sister Darlene Monroe.
Calling hours for Dr. Gary G. DeMara will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Day Funeral Home; 4 Franklin St. Randolph, VT 05060.
Donations can be made in honor of Dr. Gary G. DeMara to John Hagee Ministries; PO Box 1400 San Antonio TX, 78295. Online condolences may be made at www.dayfunerals.com. The Day funeral home in Randolph is assisting with arrangements.

I am heartbroken. Dr. Demerra was instrumental in helping me get my life back. He treated me with integrity, and compassion. He was like a friend more than a doctor to me. For the last 8 years he and I have partnered to defeat my life´s biggest adversary.
I love you Dr D! And you and I both know, you are now at the right hand of our Lord.
