Thetford, VT - Gerry Russell Jamieson passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday June 9, 2023. Gerry was born to Russell Sumner Jamieson and Gretchen Jean Campbell on December 15, 1942 in South Strafford, VT. He attended schools at Rice Mills, VT and Thetford Academy. Gerry was a gypsy at heart and when he married his love, Goldie Alberta Cook on August 14, 1964, they made their home in many different locations. They finally settled in Vermont during their later years.

Gerry was many things, including farmer, herdsman, stone mason and butcher. He worked tirelessly and always was willing to lend a hand. Gerry loved classic cars, and all the many dogs he had throughout his life. But his true loves were his wife and 3 children and their families. He had a special, yet different bond with each of his grandchildren and will be missed by all of them.

Gerry is survived by Goldie, his son Garold (Christina) of Strafford; Ida Jean Halford (Christopher) of Grafton, NH and Holly Avery (Matthew) of East Thetford, VT, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Brother John (Shirley) of Williamstown, VT and sister Helena Tilden (Dexter) of Post Mills, VT, as well many cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and In-laws. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Mary Hulbert, brother Malcolm and sister baby Janet.

Gerry didn't want a service, so the family will gather in the near future to fulfill his wish of having his ashes spread on a farm in Strafford.
