Harry "Bob" R. Sprague, Jr.

Newbury, VT - Harry "Bob" Robert Sprague, Jr., 85, passed peacefully Monday afternoon, May 12, 2025, at his grandson Adam's home in Newbury, VT, where he had been living since his wife, Madalyn passed in March 2024. Bob had been a resident of Hanover for over 50 years.

Bob was born in Hanover, NH on March 19, 1940, to the late Saidee Aline (Duckless) and Harry Robert Sprague, Sr. He graduated from Hanover High School and married Madalyn Melendy on September 7, 1957.

Bob worked for over fifty years as a Mover for Hanover Transfer & Storage.

Bob and Madalyn had been members of the Goldwing Riders Association for the last 30 years. They loved riding their motorcycles and made wonderful memories on rides to California and Alaska.

In addition to his parents and his beloved Madalyn, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Winona Tyler of Florida.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Marcia Sprague; son, Gary (Connie) Sprague of South Pomfret, VT; six grandchildren, Derrick (Erynn) Sprague, Adam (Brittany) Sprague, Nicholas (Kelsey) Sprague, Jodi (Jim) Easton, Paul Wood, and Amanda Wood; eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A family burial will be held at West Lebanon Cemetery.
