Jeffery Leon Walker, lovingly known as "Reggie" to his childhood friends, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, in Greenwood, MS, with his partner, Alice Grimsley, and daughter, Kristen Knox, next to him.

Born in Hanover, NH, on May 7, 1953, Jeff was the son of Reggie and Arvilla (Brown) Walker. He grew up in Lebanon, NH, as the youngest of five brothers. He shared a close bond with his four older brothers-and spent much of his youth with them and his friends at the Carter Community Building. A talented athlete, Jeff was a standout football player throughout junior high and high school, graduating from Lebanon High School in 1972.

Following high school, Jeff proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Seabee, with deployments in Japan and Puerto Rico. A lifelong fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox, Jeff never missed an opportunity to cheer for his teams. Later in life, he made Carrollton, MS, his home, where he devoted himself to the love of his life.

He is survived by his significant other, Alice Grimsley; his daughter, Kristen (Justin) Knox; his son, Matthew (Jessica) Walker; three grandchildren; his brothers, Fred and Gregory Walker; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reggie and Arvilla Walker, and his brothers, Bert and Bruce Walker.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, with visitation at 1 p.m. at Williams & Lord Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS. Burial will take place at Itta Bena Cemetery at a later date.

Jeff's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his legacy of love and laughter will never be forgotten. His presence, warmth, and humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
