Jonathan Laurie Obituary

Jonathan Edward Laurie

Aurora, CO - Jonathan Edward Laurie, 50, passed away on March 9, 2025.

Born on October 1, 1974, in Lebanon, New Hampshire, Jonathan grew up in the close-knit community and graduated from Lebanon High School where he made life-long friends. He went on to attend the University of New Hampshire, where he continued to build more lasting friendships.

Known affectionately as "Jono" and "Slash" by his many friends, Jonathan had a magnetic personality that drew people to him. Charismatic, warm, and full of life, he made connections wherever he went-through school, work, and the many passions that defined his life. He spent his adult life living in Florida, Vermont, and Colorado.

Jonathan was a devoted Harley-Davidson enthusiast who found joy and freedom on the open road. His deep love for dogs brought him comfort and companionship throughout his life. His last and much-loved Pitbull Fred, came to him with the same first name as his grandfather Adams-a tribute to family that meant a great deal to him.

He was predeceased by his mother, Patti Adams Wadsworth. He is survived by his father, Edward Laurie of North Fort Myers, Florida, as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, and extended family members. He will be especially missed by his Aunt Jodie, who watched over him after he lost his mother.

Jonathan's presence, energy, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his memory be a source of comfort and light for those whose lives he touched.

A graveside service will be held at Valley Cemetery in Lebanon, NH at a later date this spring or summer. If you would care to remember Jonathan, please donate to the Hornbuckle Foundation in Colorado in Jonathan's name. https://www.hornbucklefoundation.org/donate

Ed -

Sending you thoughts and prayers seems hollow with Jonathan's passing. Our children are supposed to outlive us. It appears Jonathan fought a hard physical battle after his serious motorcycle accident and was living his life to the fullest up until the accident. Although we didn't know Jono, we can only send you our prayers that we hope will get you through this tragedy. I know we drifted apart after HS but as your former LHS'70 classmate and childhood friend we are sending you all our love and concern - Pat & Linda Putnam :Harrisville, NH

Ed,

Such a handsome man he grew to be---bright eyes and a vibrant smile...

I recall how deeply you loved your teenage son during the time I connected with you, in
the 90's...

I understand he had a terrible injury, in recent years. Surely, he is now at peace and free from pain. I pray you will find
comfort in the reflections upon your paternal love and special memories, as his dad.
