Lee Mary (Hoyt) Collins

Leeds, MA - Lee Mary (Hoyt) Collins

Daughter of the late Wilburn Lee Hoyt and Rose Lois (Burbee) Hoyt died at home June 29, 2025. Lee was born December 17, 1944, in Claremont, NH and has resided in Leeds, MA, since 1973.

Lee graduated from Stevens High School in 1962 and Northampton Commercial College in 1964. She worked at Mass Mutual, typed for court reporters, worked for Dependable Business Alternatives, and was a temporary employee at other companies, as well as an Avon Representative.

Her favorite job was raising her children and babysitting, especially babies. Lee enjoyed being behind the wheel traveling, knitting, gardening, flowers, and picnics. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Lee was predeceased by her husband and soul mate, Don Collins, sister Lois and nephew John Hoyt. She is survived by her brother Sidney Hoyt, and children: Dwight, Mary, Tanya, Kati, and Dana. Stepchildren Kevin, Tim, and Sheila, 16 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and nieces Debbie, Carole, Tammy, and Cathy.

Special appreciation to Phil for providing 24/hour care so Lee could remain at home. And Lee's first husband, Ernie Whitney, whose friendship and kindness were always appreciated by Lee and all her children.
