Lisa Priest Dyer
Bethel, VT — Lisa Priest Dyer, 62, of Bethel, Vermont passed away peacefully on June 25th, in Randolph, Vermont. Her final moments were spent beside her husband of 40 years, John, and the days before her passing were filled with family and friends visiting to say their goodbyes.
Lisa grew up in Bridgton, Maine, a beautiful little lake town where she, and her 7 siblings, spent their days enjoying all that the lakes region had to offer (after they finished their chores of course). Lisa attended the University of Maine Orono for a period after graduating high school. She eventually found her way down to Boston where she began her long, and successful career as a Real Estate Paralegal. She made her way up to Vermont, where she met, and fell in love with John and began to build their life together. Lisa has worked for just a handful of companies as she was a truly valued employee. After going back to college and earning her degree at 42 years old from Woodbury College in Montpelier, Vermont, she then opened her own company (Central Vermont Researchers). After many years in business together, the housing market crash steered both Lisa and John to work for private law firms. Most recently, Lisa was the head paralegal in Florida and Tennessee for First American Title Insurance Company, where she earned the "Top Earner" certificate just a few short months ago.
Lisa loved being outside with her family, enjoying river days while her 3 children played around and explored the White River. Yearly trips to the ocean up in Maine, and multiple sporting events as she was her kids' number 1 fan. Large gatherings with friends was where she truly shined. With a smile so big and beautiful, she always stood out among many. She was most happy while all her kids were together, especially when she became a grandmother.
Lisa was predeceased by her father Caroll Priest, and mother Margot Priest, father in-law Kenneth Dyer as well as her oldest sister Caren. Lisa is survived by her husband John Dyer, eldest son Damon and wife Jordan Dyer, youngest son Sam and his wife Shanna Dyer, and daughter Alison Dyer. She leaves behind two bright, and beautiful grandchildren. Daughter of Alison, Rose Onalee Skrill, and son of Damon and Jordan, Copeland Marshall Dyer. Her 6 other siblings and their significant others. She is also survived by her mother in-law Janet Dyer, as well as all of her nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
