Lynnett Wessells Obituary

Lynnett A. (Robbins) Wessells

Lebanon, NH - Lynnett A. Wessells, 79, of Lebanon, NH passed away peacefully after a brief illness on February 15, 2024. She was born on January 26, 1945, in Oklahoma City, OK, and was the daughter of the late Imogene Covert and Frank A. Robbins Jr.

Lynnett met the love of her life, David E. Wessells, in high school and they married in January 1965. She is survived by daughter, Sherri (Scott) Ackerson; son, Dana (Kelly) Wessells; many loving grandchildren, Jessica (Kalleb) Becker, Joshua (Erin) Wessells, Jeremy (Samantha Barbarito) Ackerson, and Cody (Annie) Wessells; great-grandchildren, Linkoln, Stella, Madyson, Maximus, and Henry; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her loving husband, David. Lynnett was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a friend to everyone, and will be greatly missed by all.

Lynnett loved baseball, where her favorite team was the New York Yankees. She was a stay-at-home mom until her kids were in school full-time and then went to work for WTSL, as the traffic manager for many years until she started getting grandchildren. Which at that time she became a full-time grandmother and cherished every minute! Since she was a stickler for being fair, the kids frequently reminded her about her always counting their cheese doodles!

She worked part-time (evenings) in the bakery at P&C in Lebanon until she started work at Mascoma Savings Bank in 2004. Upon her retirement in 2012 she spent her time with her husband, family, and friends. She was the Treasurer for Mascoma Meadows for many years and continued to support them with anything they needed for over 15 years. Lynnett enjoyed and was always there to help family and friends with any requests asked of her.

A special thank you to the people at the ICU at DHMC in Lebanon for their loving care and support during her final days. Also, the family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to a few special friends who helped her with whatever she needed and have supported her family during this difficult time; Pam & Calvin, Linda, and Cheryl. Thank you to Ricker Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.

A private service will be held at a later date for family and close friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Lynn's passing, and want Sheri and Dana to know I am thinking of you. It's so difficult losing your parents. My heart aches with your sorrow.

We were so sorry to hear about Lynn. We were all friends in Lebrun's trailer park back in the 70's. Our kids all played together. Lynn, Linda Lowell and I even bowled for a seaon . (Silly Sausages- Lynn's idea). We took first place trophy but we also got trophy for the most gutter balls that season. So much fun and so many laughs in the trailer park! I'm so glad Linda Lowell and I got to visit with Lynn and Dave before he passed. So many good times and memories! Our condolences go out to Sheri, Dana and their families. Linda Lowell sends her condolences also. Prayers being said for everyone. God bless you all!
