Nancy Jane Chilelli

Lebanon, NH - Nancy Jane (Sedler) Chilelli passed away November 2nd, 2024 at the age of 93.

Nancy was born on January 18th, 1931 in Buffalo, NY to Harry and Olga Sedler.

She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Olga Sedler, her brother Harry Jr., and her husband John Chilelli.

She is survived by her son, Christopher and wife Laurie of Brenham, Texas, daughters Susan of Hampton, New Hampshire, and Cathleen and husband Rick of Fairlee, Vermont, seven grandsons; Matthew, David, Anthony, Jonathan, Gregory, Eric, and Owen, and great-grandchildren; Holland, Riley, Bennett, and Evelyn. She had a loving and mischievous relationship with her seven grandsons, who, supplied her with adventures, antics, and successes to brag about.

Nancy married John Chilelli (Lt. Col. Ret.) in 1952 in Buffalo, NY. Soon after, John became an Active Army Reservist. She and her husband raised three children during their seven stateside postings and two tours in Germany as a tight, adventurous military family. After 20 years of service they retired to Bennington, Vt.

Nancy enjoyed singing, sewing, quilting, and cooking, and had a wide range of interests and talents outside the home. She ran the Ft. Dix Army Thrift Store, led her Church Religious Education Program and Children's Choirs, was the librarian at Monument Elementary School in Bennington, and was later the Administrative Secretary for CB Sports. During her 15 plus years at Harvest Hill Independent Living Center in Lebanon, NH, Nancy and her friends were well known and recognized for their lively and witty interactions, laughter, and amusing stories.

Nancy Knocked on Heaven's door that Saturday afternoon and was welcomed home to the Lord.

Her life will be forever remembered by all of those who were impacted by her humor, generosity, and love.

A small celebration of life for family and friends will be held on December 6th from 3-4pm at Harvest Hill in Lebanon, NH.
