Phyllis Follensbee Berry
Lebanon, NH - On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Phyllis Follensbee Berry passed away at Lebanon Center Genesis Healthcare in Lebanon, NH. Phyllis was born August 3, 1929, in Lebanon, NH, the only daughter of Franklin E. and Edna (Tarbell) Follensbee. Phyllis graduated from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, NH, in 1947.
On June 26, 1948, Phyllis married Dryden (Guy) Berry of Lebanon, NH. They settled in Lebanon, NH where they raised two children, a son, Tom, and a daughter, Kim. Over the years, Phyllis worked briefly in the shoe department of Currier & Co, then moved on to become the bookkeeper in the family business, Surburban Natural Gas, Co., for many years until it was sold. After retirement, she worked for a number of years as the bookkeeper for Timber Village (now Quechee Gorge Village) where she was retained by three separate owners. In March 2002, Phyllis and Guy retired to Punta Gorda, FL.
Phyllis was a Past Matron in the Order of Eastern Star, and a Rainbow Worthy Advisor. She was an avid bowler and golfer. She made multiple trips to participate in the WIBC national bowling tournaments. She also had multiple vacation trips to the Carolinas and Florida to play the favorite courses she and Guy enjoyed. She and Guy loved camping, and for a number of years, split time between home and their camper in Randolph or Thetford, VT.
She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Traveling to the mid-west on numerous occasions to get her children to college, and around NH and VT to support her grandchildren's interests.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Tom Berry, of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter Meagan and great-grandson Conner Berry, of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter Melissa Lloyd (Jordan) and great grandchildren Gibson, Greyson, and Emerson, of Yulee, FL; daughter, Kim Manning, of North Hartland, VT; grandson Scott and great-granddaughter Reese Manning, of Lebanon, NH.
She was predeceased by her parents Franklin E. and Edna T. Follensbee; husband Dryden "Guy" Berry; daughter-in-law Suzanne Berry and granddaughter Michele Berry; son-in-law, William "Butch" Manning and granddaughter Brandi-Lyn Manning.
A graveside service will be held at the family's convenience June of 2026 in West Lebanon, NH. Should one choose memorial donations can be made to
