Sylvia A. LaClair

Perkinsville, VT - Sylvia A. LaClair passed away peacefully at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon, NH at the age of 88 on February 1, 2025. Sylvia was born on October 24, 1936 to Galen and Eva (Aiken) Vittum in Windsor, VT. She was the youngest of five children. She grew up in South Reading and Springfield VT. Sylvia graduated from Springfield High School, class of 1954.

Sylvia married Isadore J. (Lee) LaClair on January 4, 1955. Sylvia and Lee had three children. David J. LaClair, Cathy J. Burpee (Steve), and Nancy L. Wyman (Pete). Sylvia had four grandchildren ( Jessica, Meghan, Joe and Jacob), five great grandchildren (Emily, Bella, Tyler, Sylviana (Hailey) and Jace), and three great great grandchildren (Avery, Reagan and Theo).

Sylvia loved to travel. Sylvia and her sister-in-law, Mary Vittum traveled annually to Wells, Maine and Ohio to visit her niece and family. They also traveled to Alaska. Her favorite memory was waking up early with her niece Gail to walk on the beach.

Sylvia and Mary created many crafts that they sold at many of the area craft fairs.

Sylvia retired from Mack Molding in Cavendish, VT. After a thirty-plus year career there.

Sylvia is survived by her oldest brother Paul Vittum, also her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be scheduled at a later date.

So sorry . Sylvia was a nice lady. I always enjoyed seeing her around in the community. She always was friendly. Condolences to her family and friends.
