Don Rohrbaugh Obituary

Don Rohrbaugh, 68, resident of Apple Valley for 15 years, passed away after a long bout with illness in the presence of family at Kaiser in Fontana on March 30, 2001. He was retired from Los Angeles County as a juvenile probation officer and founder of Mountain View German Shepherds. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy and served during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Linda of Apple Valley; daughters Debbie Ames and husband Jack of Ramona, and Melanie Braga and husband Jon of Puerto Rico; son Matt Rohrbaugh of Apple Valley, "Lord, I thank you for my Dad"; brother Al Rohrbaugh and wife Ruth of Washington; mother-in-law Julia Davis of Topanga; and a niece and nephew of Washington. This veteran, pilot, football coach, cowboy, biker, boater, skier, builder, landscaper and truck driver loved God, his family and friends. He will be deeply missed. Until we meet again. Graveside ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Sunset Hills Memorial Park in Apple Valley with Chaplain Gregory Peck officiating. Sunset Hills Mortuary is handling arrangements.
