JACQUELINE GALINDEZ Obituary

JACQUELINE (HETER) GALINDEZ 12/17/1940 - 11/3/2014 Jacqueline (Heter) Galindez, 73, was born in Sterling, KS on Dec. 17, 1940 to T. Marion and Ardris Heter. Jacque was married to George "Lucky" Galindez for 47 years. She fought a brave battle for 2-1/2 years with the ravages of Meylo Fibrosis. She lost her battle on Nov. 3, at City of Hope, surrounded by her loving family. Jacque taught elementary school for 35 years. After retiring, she went to work at "The Gallery." Jacque and Lucky owned Tribal Treasures Gallery in the Green Tree Inn for 25 years. Survivors include her husband George, sister Mary of Duncanville, TX, brother Tom and wife Roberta of Lompoc, CA, step-daughter Gina Boop and husband Bud of Phoenix, AZ, their loving nieces and nephews and extended family. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 2:00pm at Sunset Hills Mortuary.

Jacqueline and I taught together at Joshua Circle and I always appreciated her upbeat, positive energy. I am saddened by this loss. She was a great lady.

I worked with Mrs. Galindez as a student helper many years ago at Joshua Circle Elementary. She was a wonderful person and truly loved every one of her students.
