LEWIS TRAVER Obituary

LEWIS EVERET TRAVER Lewis, age 68, has gone to be with his precious Lord and Savior. He passed on with all his family around him on Jan. 24, 2012. He was born in Hawthorne, CA. on Feb. 16, 1943 and lived in Lawndale, CA. until 1955, when his family moved to Phelan, Ca. because their house in Lawndale was bought out by a new coming Freeway "405." Lewis was a High Desert resident since 1955. Lewis went to Victor Valley High School and graduated in 1960, afterward he went into the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fort Sandia in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he got his medical training. After he got his discharge, he moved back to Hawthorne to live and got a job as a male orderly at Hawthorne Comm. Hosp. After a few years, he came back to Hesperia where his family lived. He got a job at Victor Valley Hosp. as the first male orderly. A couple of years later, he wanted to work with his dad, Merl Traver, in construction. In the beginning years, they built many houses and business in the High Desert. Lewis is preceded by his parents, Merl E. Traver & Martha D. Traver. Oldest sister, Judy E. Cravello-Bryant & niece, Andrea Renee Bell. Lewis is survived by his son, Lawrence "Pete" Edwin Traver, "Pete's" girlfriend, Toni Sarokas, sister Linda and husband Ivan Miller. Nephew Jeff E. Cravello, niece, Holly E. Miller. Grandchildren, Ashley Renee Tesarski-Traver, Joshua Varner and great-grandson Brayden Dunn. Services will be held at Riverside Memorial Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518 on February 8, 2012. Please be at Stage #4, no later than 11:30 am. Services will start promptly at 11:45 am. Burial will follow.

Kneeling before our Lord now - WOW awesome experience no doubt, but you will be sadly missed here I am sure. Have a few memories of you even though I am 70 and can hardly remember what day it is. Lord bless you and keep you eternally in his presence. Till we meet again for sure - Amen
