Raymond Swift Obituary

Raymond P. Swift, 75, died May 15, 2005. He was born in Lawrence, Mass., and lived in Victorville for nine of his 56 years in California. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a technical sergeant and was honorably discharged after 20 years. He was a custodian for 20 years at San Bernardino Unified School District. He graduated from Lawrence High School and attended San Bernardino Valley College. He generously gave to many charitable organizations. Raymond was a devout member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church, led the rosary Mass daily and served as an usher for Saturday evening Mass every week.He is survived by his nieces, Linda Gaines, Michelle Stallings, Dottie Serpas and Judy Moore, all of Slidell, La.; his brother-in-law, Harlin Adams of Slidell, La.; and his close friends, Onie Geiman, Roberta and Renee Madrid and Raven Selman, all of Victorville, Calif. Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, 13230 El Evado Road in Victorville. Burial will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Calimesa, Calif. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Catholic charities.Condolences may be sent to www.ourfuneralservices. com.Desert View Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
