Yousef "Joe" Bishara Abedrabbo, a resident of Barstow for 11 years, entered into rest June 4, 2008. Born in Beit-Jala Palestine on January 28, 1924, his early life was spent living & attending Catholic school there. He later worked for the British Army at the Dead Sea as a mechanic and a sailor for about 10 years. He was also employed as a mechanic for British Air Ways. He later continued working as a mechanic & businessman for 25 years He always wanted to come to America. He lived & died in America, and said he spent the happiest years of all of his life in America. He can be remembered as a very loving father. He was strong, rugged, practical, loved life and laughter and enjoyed fixing things around the house. He was a fan of Charles Bronson, tv game show "Family Feud," and enjoyed vacationing in Northern California and Las Vegas. He was into chess, watching boxing & wrestling. His favorite song was "Be Happy."
 He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Wedad Abedrabbo of Barstow, sons Marwan Abedrabbo (and his wife Suzy) of Barstow, Munzer Abedrabbo (his wife Mysoon) of Barstow, and youngest son Munjed Abedrabbo of Barstow. Daughters Maha Masso ( her husband Walied) of Jordan, Montaha El-hadula (her husband Sameer) of Israel, and Suad Bahnan (her husband Zuzo) of Israel. A sister Samera Abedrabbo of Las Vegas, a brother Sami Abedrabbo of Israel and a cousin Micheal Masso of Lahabra, CA. He was also survived by over 20 grandchildren and 17 nieces, nephews and cousins
A Celebration of Yousef's Life will be held on Monday June 9, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 505 East Mountain View in Barstow. Visitation is scheduled at 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Horizon Memorial Services of Barstow 252-5222.
