Bobbie (Bea) was born on March 6, 1947, in Waco, Texas, to Bobby Barron and Martha Jean (Nance) Brown.
She graduated from Waco High School in 1965, and began her bookkeeping career at Genie Car Wash, Shellenberger's, and Southern Medical Life Insurance. In the late 1980s, she and her mother began the business adventure known as Bobbie's Buds & Balloons. After serving the Waco area for over 10 years, she transitioned to her long and fulfilling career with the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier in the Mart area. In addition to her duties as a rural carrier, Bobbie served as a member of the Union and other committees before and after her retirement in November 2024.
In addition to her professional endeavors, her most cherished role was becoming "BeBe" in 2003 to her granddaughter, Katie. She also enjoyed spending time with her late husband Tommy building Gaskamp Farms, a hay baling business with her son-in-law, Rick, and future grandson-in-law, Joseph, as well as tending to cows, donkeys, chickens and many rescued animals.
A note from one of her cousins - "Those of you in the Baby Boomer generation will always remember her as our beloved Pack Leader during our childhood. She always had great judgment and decision-making capabilities at a very young age. She could keep all of us unruly little kids in line during family holiday weekends at Ma's. Who will ever forget her herding us all many times to the 25th Street Theatre to see some of the classic Disney movies? Thanks to her, we had a great time and made wonderful memories. All the aunts and uncles could thank her for getting to visit with each other for 2 hours of peace and quiet while we were gone to the movies. She always supported us if there was a problem, she was there to help. We have all depended on her throughout these years as the 'rock' of our family."
Both of her parents preceded her in death; along with her son Larry "Bubba" Gaskamp; and her husband Tommy "Goose" Gaskamp.
BeBe is survived by her daughter Jennifer Branch and husband Rick; granddaughter Katie Branch; and fiancé Joseph Jackson; brothers, Joe Brown and Clay Brown; along with numerous cousins, extended family and a host of friends.
