My dear Uncle Bruce,
I never took the chance to get to know you very well, but I have heard so many stories, especially the fishing stories, that I felt like I knew you better than I do some other people. I heard a saying recently, and I think it applies to you as much as anybody. Always blessings, never losses. It was a blessing to have known you as much as I did, and I will get to know you even better one day. All my love, your niece, Lori Jean. : )

Bruce, being the only girl among four brothers, I guess I kind of felt like the outsider when it came to fishing. I couldn't stand to kill a poor innocent worm or minnow just to catch a fish, which I loved to eat, but couldn't stand to kill. I never got my deep freeze filled with fish like you promised, but thats okay, just remember me when you and the family gather for that fish fry reunion in Heaven. I didn't get a chance to say goodbye, but I love you, miss you, and grieve for you, but I know you are in pain no more and you are now a free happy spirit.
Give Mom and the family my love.
You'll always live in my heart.
Your Sis,

Uncle Bruce,
I miss you dearly.
You were a very special Uncle to me.
I will miss baking you cookies on your Birthday and around the Holidays.
I will miss making you movies to watch on your DVD player.
You were the kind of man that was appreciative of anything anyone would do for you.
You accepted people as they were.
Everyone who knew you will miss you.
Your forever in my heart!

Bruce, even though I only knew you for about three years I knew your heart. When I told you that I had lost all of my grandfathers you told me "Well hell, i'll be your grandpa". That ment more to me than you will ever know. I already miss you hugging my neck and giving me a kiss on the head smelling like fish and i wouldn't want it any other way!! I wish I could have taken you out on that boat and went fishing with you (we all know it's bad luck to take a women fishing!). I miss your wonderful smile and your laugh, and the way you and Gary "fought" all the time!! Lord knows you two loved each other!! I hope that you are having fun up there fishing in your river with your granddaughter Christy, you two behave yourselfs and don't catch em' all till I get there!! I love you PawPaw.....

Bruce, you are the best fisherman I ever knew. You know every hole in every creek, river, or lake. You have also been a very good friend for over 50 years. Rest in peace. As you would say, "I love you."

My prayers are with you Mike and Debbie. I was so glad to know your dad and visit with him a few months ago. We take life for granted, and we never know when God will call us home. Will be thinking of ya'll, so be strong for each other.

Mike, though I did not know your Dad, I am sure that I am familiar with his spirit through you. It has been a few years since our paths have crossed. May the Lord give you strength, peace and understanding. A reunion is planned for your Dad in glory with all the family, allow your life to be full and just, open to change, careful of trials, and willing to go when called...
