Carl Clendening Obituary
Carl was born in McKinney, Texas, to Carley and Eula Clendening. He met and married the love of his life, Loma Lee Pope, March 29, 1950, in Hondo, Texas, and they remained inseparably until his death. Carl and his family moved to the community in June of 1960 and has been a resident of Robinson for 40 years. Carl retired after 24 years of employment from a local ginning business. His church affiliation was Baptist. But the main thing Carl will be remembered for is his love for his wife and family.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; all of his siblings; and one granddaughter, Haley Clendening.
He is survived by his wife, Loma; eight children, C.L. Clendening and wife, Sherry, Peggy Johnson and husband, Bill, Billy Clendening and wife, Vanessa, Linda Brink and husband, Terry, Steve Clendening and wife, Belinda, James Clendening and wife, Cathy, Monty Clendening and Kerry Clendening and wife, Jennifer; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
