David Barron Obituary

Mr. David Barron, 75, of Gatesville, died Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at Trinity Baptist Church in Gatesville with the Rev. Tim Crosby officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gatesville Funeral Home. David Barron was born Dec. 30, 1930, in Dallas, to the late Lawrence and Esther Foster Barron. He attended Adamson High School, Dallas Texas Weslyian College, University of North Texas, and graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1956. Mr. Barron belonged to Trinity Baptist Church of Gatesville, Texas Baptist Men, and Central Texas Hospitality House. He was preceded in death by son, Larry Daniel Barron; and grandsons, Timothy Barron and Trevor Hall. Mr. Barron is survived by his wife, Valeta McCorkle Barron; daughters, Candace Owcarz and husband, Stephen of Luling, La., Virginia Dean and husband, Robert of Hutto, Texas, Carol Hennessy and husband, Alan of Gatesville; grandsons, Joshua and Austin Barron, Charles Owcarz and Travis Freeland; granddaughters, Andre and Carrie Hall, Allison Freeland, and Stephanie Bradley and husband, Warner; and great-grandson, Caleb Bargsley. December 30, 1930 - November 20, 2006

I am one of David's classmates. I saw you both at the Adamson '48 luncheon in April. We talked for a few minutes. Have fond memories of our days at Adamson.
