Elvin Andrews Obituary

Elvin "Andy" Elsworth Andrews, 88, of La Marque, passed away July 28, 2009. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Carnes Funeral Home, 3100 Gulf Freeway (Exit 15) in Texas City, with Ministers Les Derrick Jr. and John Symes officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas. The family will receive visitors 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 31, at the funeral home. Andy was born April 9, 1921, in Frankston, Texas, to James and Martha Andrews. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a builder by profession; vice-president of Houston All Things Possible Missions, and an active member of Living Way Church for 35 years. Andy was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; two brothers; twin brother; and four sisters. Andy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ann Andrews; son, Ronnie E. Andrews and wife, Jill of Ruidoso, N.M.; daughter, Suzanne Peterson and husband, Jeff; sister, Rena Belle Luedeker and husband, Edgar of Waco; grandchildren, John Marchesini and wife, Wendy and Marianna Marchesini; and great grandson, Luke Edwards.
