Gregory John Carpenter, 53, of China Spring, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
Memorial Visitation: 6-8PM Thursday, June 26 at Lake Shore Funeral Home Chapel.
Greg was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, and loyal friend. Born in Waco, he attended China Spring High School, where he met the love of his life in an agriculture class. Greg and Tisha married on January 15, 1993 in China Spring and built a life rooted in love and mutual respect. Their bond never faded-it was just as strong as when they first fell in love.
A true jack of all trades, Greg eventually found his calling in water utilities and proudly served the City of Bellmead for over 14 years and promoted to Utility Superintendent. He loved his family more than anything and was his children's hero. Greg was also an avid "Jeeper" and formed lasting friendships through Cen-Tex Jeep Events, where he was part of a close-knit community that felt like family.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah Carpenter; and father-in-law, Frank "Jigger" Graham.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Tisha Carpenter; son, Casey Carpenter (Miranda); daughter, Hailey Carpenter; father, Johnny Carpenter; brother, Daryl Carpenter; niece, Cally Morris; nephew, Chris Carpenter; and many other extended family members, dear friends, and cherished fur babies.
The family extends heartfelt thank you to Trisha Graham, Paula and Fred Erdman, Charlie Pate, Mya Pate, Vicky Thomas, members and family at the Central Texas Jeep Events, Chris Bogard, Joe Williams, and the first responders of McLennan County for their love, care, and support.
