A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Branford/Dawson Funeral Home, 718 South 7th St., Temple, Texas.

Howard Earl Fisher was born August 30, 1939, in Williamson County, Texas, to Alice Dodd and John Thomas Fisher. The family later moved to Temple, Texas. He confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of the 10th Street and Avenue M Church of Christ. Later in life he attended Dellcrest Church of Christ in San Antonio, Texas.

Howard attended public school in Temple, Texas, and graduated from Dunbar High School. He continued his education and received a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Mathematics from Paul Quinn College. He started his teaching/coaching career in 1960 at Booker T. Washington High School in Marlin, Texas. He later moved to San Antonio, Texas, to continue his career with the San Antonio Independent School District. Howard retired in 1995 after 35 years of educating young students in the classroom and the community. Howard later embarked on a new career path starting a business as a lawn care professional, H & R Super Lawn Service.

Survivors are his wife, Ola Mae Fisher of San Antonio; two sons and one daughter: Steve Fisher of Waco, Rondray Brown (Tracy) of Houston, Andrea Thomas (Ishmeil) of San Antonio; daughter-in-law, Debra Jean Fisher of Temple; mother-in-law, Cleopatra Thomas of Bay City; sister, Virginia McCrimmon of Hammond, Louisiana; and fourteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren.
