Dearest Jean and Family, we send our love and condolences. Jon was truly a servant to our Lord, a leader in the community and an encourager to anyone who engaged in conversations with him. His legacy of service and compassion towards others in need exemplified Jon´s caring character. We are so glad to have known him.

Early in my career I knew "of" Jon as a respected businessman. I subsequently had business dealings with him, and after a particularly drawn out transaction, Jon showed up at my office with a paper weight praising my perseverance, with a Bible quote from Romans 5:4. He showed me how to be a Christian businessman in a secular world. Over the years, I got to know Jon as a friend, through Band of Brothers, serving First Methodist, BSF, and in our leader circle for BSF. Jon's spiritual depth was evident in all that he did. He will be missed.

Jon was a gentleman and a scholar.
I met Jon on my first ride with the bike club in 1988. He was encouraging and had a way of relating to everyone.
In the years that followed, I would occasionally see him in the grocery store I was employed at, he remained the same thoughtful, encouraging, and relatable guy.
My condolences to his family...and really, to anyone who ever met him.

Also met Jon at the old Y. He was about 35, very stout and used to beat up on me regularly on the basketball court. He was a great guy I saw at the current Y regularly. Always engaging and pleasant. Jean I had met you a few times and son Jeff. My sincere condolences on the loss of a great man.

We will miss Jon's smile, laugh and opinions. We enjoyed Jon's friendship for a long time ... just not long enough. What a wonderful, giving person Jon was, we were all so lucky to have known him. Jon was one of the best parts of our life.
God Bless Jon, may he rest in peace.

Jon was such a kind and giving person. In a business of less than perfect, Jon was the exception. Honest and respectful.
