Margaret Joyce (Behringer) Scroggins, 84, passed away peacefully at Ellery Arbor Memory Care Facility in Colleyville, Texas, on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, May 10, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 N. Robinson Dr., Waco with Rev. Phyllis Barren officiating. Margaret was born September 13, 1936, in Mart, Texas, to Henry Alfred and Theresa Augusta Behringer. She graduated from Riesel High School in 1955 and pursued a career in banking and insurance. She spent most of her life in the Waco area with her husband, Wilbur (Joe) Scroggins, whom she married on June 8, 1957, at Grace Lutheran Church in Mart, Texas. She was a dedicated and loving mother to two daughters, Diane Lynn (Scroggins) Able and Cheryl Renee (Scroggins) Doty. Margaret spent most of her time caring for her family and working at several local banks. She regularly attended community and church organizations and enjoyed gardening.

In recent years, Margaret enjoyed dining out and playing dominoes with friends, as well as spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchild, who called her MeMe and MawMaw. She was also active in her church and donated her time making Braille bibles.

She will be greatly missed by her survivors.
