It has been my pleasure to work with and know Kay and Gayle. Kay had a beautiful voice. I was so happy to sing with her in the Baylor Senior Choir. She will be missed.

I am very sad to learn of Kay's transition and extend my most sincere sympathy to Gayle, Samantha, and Celia and other family members. I knew Kay through the many excellent editions of her important nursing theory book co-authored with Lorraine Walker. Many years ago, Kay and I were roommates at the nursing philosophy conference in Banff, Canada, which gave us time to know each other personally in addition to knowing each other from our publications. My thoughts remain with you as you mourn Kay's transition. Most sincerely yours, Jacqueline Fawcett (Jacqui)
