Patsy Watson Jones

Patsy Watson Jones, 75, of Waco, passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd. Her nephew, James Westbrook, and Chaplain Suzanne Smith will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at OakCrest Funeral Home. A video of her life will be shown during the visitation. Patsy was born Feb. 26, 1934, in Waco, to Luther C. and Johnnie Thompson. She worked as a secretary at Texas Life for many years. She then worked as a sales representative at Conlee Seed Co. for 25 years, where she enjoyed her service and was loved by all of her customers. After her retirement she enjoyed being a grandmother to her many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Robert E. Watson, Jr. "Mymaw," as her grandchildren called her, is survived by her only daughter, Jan Carter; grandchildren, Kim Woodliff and husband, Davin, Kevin Carter, Karen Bloomer and husband, SFC Clay Bloomer of the U.S. Army, all of Waco; great-grandchildren, Ashley Randolph, Corbin Carter, Aaron Randolph, Dalton Woodliff, Caden Carter, Clay Bloomer IV, and Kendall Bloomer. The family wishes to thank the Providence Hospice care team of Jan, Joyce, Laura, Monica, Michelle, Elaine, Shayla, and Chaplain Suzanne Smith for their compassionate care and support through the last several months.
