Reginald Russell Obituary
After graduating high school in Alma, Mich., Regie served four years in the Navy and then graduated from Engineering School in Wisconsin. In 1963, he moved to Killeen to join IBM. In 1974, he moved to Hewitt, continuing his career as a computer engineer until his retirement in 1993. Regie will be remembered for his love of family, Corvettes, and motorcycles, his easy-going ways, and the stray cats that became family members over the last 35 years.
He leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Diane Byford Russell; son, Justin Russell; step-son, Andy Kienitz; sister, Barbara Chenot of Michigan; and brother, Gary Russell of Arlington, Texas.
The family would like to thank Providence Hospice for their loving care.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Central Texas.

I knew Regie when he worked for IBM as a repair engineer. I worked for Rocketdyne or Hercules as a key punch operator and a mainframe operator. We always enjoyed seeing the "guys" from IBM come in for those mysterious machine ailments. And we all enjoyed talking while they did their work. We always talked about the lastest adventures. And with Regie we always got an update on the Corvettes.
So sorry for your loss. He was a real gentleman.
