Bonnie,
As I looked back over Rolanda's Guest Book, I notice that there are 11 pages of well wishers. I once heard a preacher say, "You preach your own funeral by the way you live your life". It should warm your heart to know that Rolanda was loved and praised by so many people.
I hadn't seen Rolonda since she was
young but from reading all the remarks in the guest book, it's almost like I knew her as an adult.
When times seem unbearable for you, just remember the precious times you and her shared as Mother and Daughter. Those times will forever be in your heart!!!
With deepest Love and Concern,
Joanie

I have known Rolanda (I called her RoRo) since we were little girls. I had not heard from her since high school but thought of her often, especially lately...now I know why. To her family my thoughts and prayers are with you and know that she is in her Father's arms...Safe.

With all the peace, love, and comfort that God can grant to each and everyone who reads...

The Broken Chain

We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.

Yvonne , My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family. (Michelle /WRS GROUP)

I will like to give my condolences to the family. I went to highschool with Rolanda. I remember her being nice and a good dancer. The last time I saw her was after the passing of my brother over to my brothers moms house . Still beautiful person inside and out. We talked for awhile.

A Marriage Made in Heaven
Weddings are unforgettable occasions. Everything is designed to make this a perfect ceremony. Nothing is too good for the wedding couple. They are in love. This is their day. God's final word to us in the very last chapters of the Bible gives us this same promise. He is preparing a wedding for us. He has pledged his genuine love and deep commitment to live with us for the rest of eternity. The ceremony will be like no other in history. Nothing can compare to this celebration. God wants to be with us. He wants all of his creation to know of his love for us. This will be an unforgettable day, never to be duplicated, never to be compared with any other.
All the yearning , enduring, waiting, and wishing are finally finished. All the suffering, heartbreak, and shattered dreams are behind us. God steps forward, call us to come and be his bride. A new city, a new home, a new family , a new body, a new future, an eternal friend and Lord. At the end of each year, we look forward to the promise and hope of the year to come. As Christians, we also look forward to what God has prepared for us in the future. He is coming for us , his bride. Everything in God's created order is pressing forward in anticipation ot that day. The wedding is coming. The marriage will last forever. The love between God and his people will grow and grow. Let the celebration begin.

August 14, 2008

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived
okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here
is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you
every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up
and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were
gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.

There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for
me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's
chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life
on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not
be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But
one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a
time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will
give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day
was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the
way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick
him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in
your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember
you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

I dont know where to begin, except by saying I love you so much and I will miss you. My kids which are your neices will miss you dearlyalso. We were @ your house Sunday, and the kids were practicing their cheers and when we left Quieraney says to me "Momma Aunt Rolanda didnt get to see our cheers" and tears came too my eyes and before I could answer she says to me she is in heaven now and she is looking down on us and she is watching over us from above and can see us cheer. She is gonna be our angel and I said thats right. When her and Ania got out of the car they pointed to the sky and Quieraney told Ania; Aunt Rolanda is up there and as they looked up too the sky they were waiving. They really do love you. The 10 years I have known you I will treasure them with all my heart. I remember the times we have spent together and me doing your long beautiful hair. You were so beautiful and I will never forget that smile and laugh of yours. Ania looks so much like you and I see you in her. When I look at her I see you. I hope she grows up to be just like you, beautiful, sweet, funny, and very smart. You will always be my sister n law. I love you. R.I.P

P.S. You will always be in my heart.

To Bonnie, Maurice and Aunt Toy:
It is always painful to lose the ones we love and we can only let time try and easy the pain that we feel. I will miss Rolanda very much.

With that I herad a loud voice from the throne say:
"Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

TO MY BFF (Best Friend Forever)
My first day without you was August 8th thats when my heart was filled with pain. On August 11th that was my first day without you when God made it rain. You was so very special to me Rolanda, words can not explain. You was my very special friend, you was my sister, you was the person that kept me sane. I can remember all of the times you would come over to my house and stay late and we would look through neiman marcus magazines. I can remember we would look at movies and skip all the boring scenes. I can remember when you just come over just to sit around and do nothing, say nothing and that was fine with me, I felt like you was just bored being home or wanted to come be around me. I have to keep telling myself that Rolanda does not belong to us, this is Gods' doing, and this I must trust. God said no more suffering and bought the pain to an end but left more suffering on me because now I lost my very special, wonderful, beautiful friend. I'm Heartbroken

I thank God for blessing me with the opportunity to have been acquainted with His Chosen Angel. As I reflect on your life, all I can think of is Strength, Endurance, and Perserverence. Your crossing over is a reason to celebrate your life and know that your footprints will endure forever. Bless all the loved ones left behind.

Our heart goes out to the family during your time of troubles. We could always identify with what Rolanda was going through, due to the fact that my husband also has sickle cell Anemia. Rolanda can now rest in Gods hands.

To Maurice, Bonnie and family,

This has really shocked me. We do know she is in a better place with no more suffering. I have known Rolanda and Mrs. Bonnie for a very long time. I remember when Rolanda would keep me. I remember when i would I would even have to stay with you and Francine. Yall would take me and your brother to Cameron Park on Sundays(when you meet Maurice). I remember when you first got your dirvers license. I will never forget your smile and conversations. You will truly be missed in everyway. Now you can keep an eye on your "little one". Love you!

Maurice, Bonnie, and the Rest of The Family,
May God comfort you in this hour of need. I will truly miss Rolanda's smile and the little jokes we shared together. I can see her now praise dancing to "Praise is What I Do". I praise God for allowing me to get to really know her. There will be a void in our church family.
May God Bless You!

Crossing the Bar

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

My prayers are with Trevell, Bonnie & the family and friends of Rolanda during this time. Please know that God will comfort and strengthen each of you when you start to feel sad and the tears begin to roll. Rolanda will truly be missed, but Jesus knew He needed a Special Angel to help him. Be encouraged, because Jesus has everything under control.
