Ruby Winkler Obituary

Ruby Winkler, 91, of The Grove, went to be with her Heavenly Father Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 30, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in The Grove, with Pastor John Heckmann officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 29, at Gatesville Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Winkler, on March 4, 2011; and son-in-law, Lester Gaskamp.

Ruby is survived by her children, Kenneth Winkler of Austin, and Barbara Gaskamp of The Grove; sisters-in-law, Lydia A. Winkler and Olivia Bigelow; five grandchildren, Kenneth Wayne and Kelli Winkler, Bruce Winkler, Kevin and Misty Winkler, Brian and Collin Gaskamp, and Stacey and Don Golden; four great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and two step-great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in Ruby's memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church, The Grove, 220 The Grove Rd., Gatesville, Texas 76528.

We are so sorry to hear of Mrs. Winkler's passing. We didn't know about Mr. Winkler's recent passing until we read this notice. We extend our sincerest sympathy to all the family. We've lost two more of our loyal Our Land Our Lives members.
