Timmie Larsen Obituary

Timmie "Tim" Mason Larsen

July 18, 1963 - August 21, 2021

Tim Larsen, 58, of Euless, TX, formerly of Waco, TX, passed away on Saturday, August 21 from a courageous battle with melanoma and kidney cancer. A Celebration of Life memorial will be held in Hurst, TX on Sunday, September 12, 2021.

Heaven gained another angel in Tim; he was one of the most (if not the most) caring, thoughtful and loving people.

Tim was born on July 18, 1963 in Oceanside, CA to parents, John and Annette Larsen.

Tim attended high school at Stratford High School and was a manager at a McDonald's in the Houston area. He moved to Waco to attend TSTI and graduated with an AAS degree in Computer Science in 1990, while also working as manager of Poppa Rollo's Pizza. He started a career with Koch Refinery, (now Flint Hills Resources) in 1990 as an Operator in Fort Worth, TX. He was then transferred to Tulsa, OK, then Waco, Austin, Waco, and then back to Fort Worth, TX where he was the Terminal Manager. He was employed with Flint Hills for over 30 years, and highly regarded by his co-workers as loyal and dependent.

Those who knew Tim should know he would want us to have peace in our hearts and not "sweat it". He never saw any of his actions or good deeds as any big deal at all, he just loved thinking of others and putting them first. He will forever be known as one of the good guys; a son, brother, father, uncle, brother-in-law, son-in-law, friend, co-worker and role model.

Tim had fun playing in Fantasy Football Leagues with his family and friends. He joined a Men's Softball League with his co-workers and they won few games but mostly enjoyed the camaraderie and candor. He had a love for cookbooks, hardback, softback, small and large that filled his kitchen shelves…and often bought extra copies to share with family. Another hobby was collecting and successfully growing chili pepper plants of all varieties, by the dozens, on his balcony.

Tim was thrifty and frugal, and lived a simple life always putting his daughters first. They will forever be thankful for all the sacrifices he made for them so they were never without. They will forever treasure trips to South Padre Island, cheering on the Texas Rangers at home games, enjoying concerts at Billy Bob's, playing rounds of golf, and all the shopping trips he willingly went on. Their peace is knowing that he is in Heaven and no longer in pain.

Tim is predeceased by his father, John Larsen.

He is survived by daughters, Erica Marie Larsen and Jessica Jordan Larsen; mother, Annette Larsen; brothers, John and wife, Becky Lynn, and David and wife, Vera Larsen; sisters, Tonye and husband, Ed Rutherford, and Tammye and husband, Curtis Crawford; nephews, David, Jr. and wife, Theresa Larsen, their children Brayden and Holden Larsen, Jerry Brouillard, and Joey Cassidy; and nieces, Danielle Larsen, Tracy Lynn, Jennifer Cassidy, and Amber and husband, Doug Stewart; and mother of his daughters, Maria Larsen.

In lieu of flowers, if you would like to honor Tim and his daughters with a gift to help towards his medical bills and memorial, please donate at gofundme.com/timmie-mason-larsen.
