Victor Guerrero Obituary
Victor was born Aug. 11, 1968, in Irving, Texas, to Gloria Guerrero and Victor Guerrero Jr. The family later moved to Alice, Texas. Victor grew up in Alice with his brother, Albert Guerrero, and sister, Kris Guerrero Milam. He graduated from Alice High School in 1986. He was very active in the Alice Boys Club, participating in their Boxing Club, billiard tournaments and many other events. Rick del Bosque, a leader at the Boys Club, mentored Victor and along with Victor's friend, Robert "Boy" Martinez, they helped Victor grow and develop the personal traits that made him so special to everyone who knew him. Rick, along with "Boy", remained lifelong friends.
Victor started working at the age of 12 in a restaurant in Alice and later, after moving to Waco, began working with Keith Bush in Dec. of 1986 at the Golden Fried Chicken restaurant on Hewitt Drive in Hewitt, where they became close as brothers. While working at Golden Fried Chicken, he met the love of his life, Di Valdez; they married June 22, 1991. They later became the franchise owners of the Bush's Chicken Restaurant on N. 19th Street, in Waco, and the Bush's Chicken Restaurant in China Spring. Victor participated in the Waco and China Spring communities, making donations to many of the MCC, Waco and China Spring ISD events, as well as other numerous organizations and individuals.
Victor always loved spending time with his family, taking them to sports activities, especially with his running buddy, Little Vic. Victor loved all sports and enjoyed going to and watching sporting events, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the University of Texas. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends, playing golf, poker, and baseball; he really just enjoyed being with people. Fourth of July was always memorable as Victor would always seem to be the one that something happened to; nothing serious, but something unique like catching on fire while lighting fireworks. Victor lived life to the fullest.
He is survived by his parents; his loving wife of 19 years, Deyanira Valdez Guerrero; sons, Victor IV and Christopher; daughters, Alyssa Monique and Daisy; sister, Kris Milam and husband, Ken, all of China Spring; and brother, Albert Guerrero, of Tampa, Fla. Also surviving are his in-laws, Juan and Guadalupe Valdez; brothers-in-law, Juan Valdez Jr. and Edwardo Valdez; sisters-in-law, Susanne Chapman, Diane Hysaw and husband, Lanning, Griselda Vences and husband, Serafin, Brandy Flores and husband, Stevie; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Lanning Hysaw, Juan Valdez, Serafin Vences, Stevie Flores, Jose Torres, Corey Bush, Robert Martinez, Rick del Bosque, Richard Chapman and Ken Milam. Honorary pallbearers will be Matt Horton, Jerry Guinn, Rick Gallegos, Ventura Gallegos, Cesar Valdez and Mickey Maddux.

Di, I'm so very sorry as I too know what the loss of a husband suddenly feels like. It is hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that he is gone. He was much too young and was such a good family man. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. Call anytime and I'll be there.
I've been remembering working for him when he was much younger and even then I knew he was a special guy. Then the 2 of you marrying and how happy you have been. May those memories bring you comfort.

Victors contagious smile will be missed in China Spring. We were blessed to have the pleasure to Coach Alyssa at CSYAA softball. She was always so excited to be on the field when her Daddy was there. China Spring will greatly miss and never forget Victor. What an amazing man who left a positive effect in a short period of time. Many prayers for comfort to your family!
