Agnes Kucera Obituary

SCHUYLER – Agnes Kucera 93, of Schuyler died Sept. 16 at David Place in David City.
Kucera was born Nov. 30, 1914, to Joseph and Rosalie (Kliment) Haba in Rescue. She graduated from Prague High School.
On Nov. 24, 1942 she married Edward T. Kucera in David City. They farmed near Linwood until moving to Schuyler in 1989. She was a resident of David Place in David City from 2004 until her death. She had worked as a housekeeper for the Hewitt and Klepenger families in David City, helped on the farm and was a babysitter for Les and Pam Kotera.
She served as secretary for the Linwood Hill Cemetery, was a member of the Linwood Community Club and volunteered at the Schuyler Eagle's Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; three sisters, Rosie Tomek, Bessie Dauel and Christina Haba.
She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Geraldine and Gary Polacek of Bruno, Karen and Alden Kment of Schuyler, Loretta and Edwin Patchen, Jr., of Fremont and Jeanette and Tim Blake of Schuyler; one brother, William Elmer Haba of David City; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Sept. 20 at Kracl Funeral Chapel in Schuyler with Speaker Jerry L. Kracl officiating. Burial was at Lin-wood Hill Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Scott Kment, Edwin Patchen III, Jeremy Polacek, Clifford Juhl, David Mahrt, Justin Filter, Zachary Chromy and Rylan Chromy.
Honorary casket bearers were Charmyn Kment-Chromy, Mary Mahrt, Jennifer Juhl, Angel Filter, Stephanie Polacek, Rita Kment and Julie Patchen,
Memorials may be made to the Linwood Hill Cemetery or family choice.

Kracl Funeral Chapel in Schuyler was in charge of the arrangements.
